Have you been harmed by misleading advertisement or by false statements?
Were you subject to hidden fees or surcharges that were not disclosed to you?

What you may not know is that North Carolina has unfair competition laws in place to prohibit false and misleading advertisement.

How do you know when something is false? I think most, if not all, have experienced false advertisement at one time or another. Sometimes false advertisement is as simple as misrepresentation of words, suggestions or statements knowingly used to hide facts which would otherwise have persuaded differently if you had the proper information.

But, is that illegal? And if so, what can you do about it?
